Remembrance Sunday
DateSun, 8 Nov 2026
Time09:30 – 10:30
VenueSt. Anne’s RC Church
Address64 Thomas St, Carnoustie DD7 7LA, UK
The mass today remembers all of those killed in the First and Second World Wars and all the conflicts across the world since then. We had a Polish Regiment associated with St Anne’s who helped look after the mines on the beaches in Carnoustie and at the Army base of Barry Buddon and became a huge part of our Church community. The Easter Candle stand that still stands in the Church today was a gift from the regiment to the Church. We extend a warm invite to everyone including anyone stationed at Barry Buddon Training Camp, the Cadets, Scouts, Guides and all other dignitaries to join us for the Remembrance Service today. A wreath will be laid by the parish this Sunday later in the day at the main events by the War Memorial, times to follow. Refreshments afterwards in the Church Hall.
